Fundraising

The Fund was established with a personal donation made by the Barlett/Wynnyk family at Christmas, 2007. Additional contributions are made through fundraising activities , as well as personal and corporate donations. All amounts contributed to the Fund are maintained and administered by the Burlington Community Foundation. The Foundation shall provide receipts for income tax purposes in respect of all contributions made to the Fund.

Chilly Half Marathon, Burlington & Toronto, 2010

the half marathon and raising over $1500 in pledges for the Now I Can Children's Fund.

Fallen Riders Memorial Ride, July 2008

Our first fundraising event was a motorcycle ride though 180 km of scenic Halton & Halton Hills. Pledges raised over $11,000 for the nowicanfund (fomerly known as the mark wynnyk memorial fund). Special thanks to Don & Wendy Smith of Smith Funeral Homes for donating the grand prize of a weekend for two in Niagara on the Lake.

Corporate Donations

Miracle Day is the annual flagship fundraising event for the CIBC World Markets Children's Foundation. On this day in December, CIBC Wood Gundy investment advisors and CIBC World Market sales and trading staff donate their fees and commissions to children''s charities. An annual donation is made to the Now I Can Children's Fund.

Dine Out Burlington Fundraisers 2009, 2010, 2011

Thanks to the many Burlington eateries who donated gift certificates for a fine dining experience for 'two' in support of our 'Dine Out in Burlington' charity draws. We would like to give recognition to Jake's Grill & Oyster House for hosting the draw in 2010 and donating a portion of the evenings proceeds to the Now I Can Children's Fund.
